Zellige is a Moroccan art form of mosaic being formed with multi-colored tiles glazed terracotta geometric patterns covering floors and walls.
Our Zellige are produced in Fez. From kneading the clay, shaping up the colors, everything is done manually. The tiles are sun dried and then baked in a wood oven. Afterwards, they are ready to be cut down to size.
Zellige is an ancient tradition that typified the Moorish empire and so came in Europe. They are often used in bath houses, villas and palaces but are now increasingly part of a contemporary interior.
